Blue Chip Casino Hotel Adds New Poker Room

The third week of October will see work beginning at Blue Chip Casino Hotel located in Michigan City, Indiana, on the new poker room that is scheduled to open Oct. 23, 2006 at 11 in the morning.

The new poker room will house eight tables and will be open to patrons seven days a week, 24 hours a day and will showcase a multitude of poker variants such as Seven Card Stud, Texas Hold'em and Omaha Hi-low.

The addition of a new poker room was done in response to the unprecedented popularity of poker over the last few years and the demand of the casino-hotel guests.

"Our guests have asked about it and we're happy to offer this additional gaming option. The eight-table room lends itself to personalized, spirited service," says Lynda Henson, Blue Chip's director of table games.

Blue Chip Casino Hotel is a property of Boyd Gaming Corporation, located on the shores of Lake Michigan on Highway 12 in Michigan City, Indiana. The casino which was completed in January of 2006, features 65,000 square feet of exciting gaming on one level.

Additionally, four dining venues and an entertainment lounge is featured in an adjoining pavilion. Blue Chip Casino Hotel also has in its 35-acre site a 184-room hotel.
